The mind of a child...

We've been sick this week, and right now I'm the one hit the hardest.  So in an effort to get the healthier and therefore active-er set off my lap, I raided the closets for some distractions and found the dominoes.  This is a set of double-fifteens and hadn't been opened, so between opening the packages and playing with the actual dominoes I got a good 15 minutes of solitude.  Loud solitude, but beggars can't be choosers.

After naptime (lovely, blissful, all-three-of-us-sleeping naptime), Z discovered the dom-did-ohs again and was playing with them while I was on the computer.  We were all absorbed in our individual undertakings, so when Z climbed up next to me saying, "need to put them back ON" I didn't quite know what he was talking about.  "They came off, need to put them BACK!" he says, finally showing me what he was referring to:  the double-zero domino.

  1. That is so cute! and innocent! and purely logical! And if he finds a pen, you may not have a Double-Zero anymore!

    1. that's a valid concern, except that the dominoes have been put away again until the next emergency. well, all but 4 of them anyway. they'll turn up eventually. maybe when we move?

    2. Good luck with that...you may discover that the missing ones are blank on one (or both) end and he's saving them so he can "fix" them the first chance he gets!
